Standing tall, Take a fall. Pain and fear Stark and clear Shattered, bent, Can’t pay rent. Agony, pain, throbbing ache, Can’t go swimming in the lake. Itching, maddening, up the wall, Feel yourself growing small. Impatient, saddened, without cheer Wanna open another beer. Two months gone, free at last! Remove the smelly, dirty cast. Landed hard upon the floor, But won’t break so easy anymore.
Bones and people aren’t so different after all.
